Roof Goop is a high solids, elastomeric, trowel-grade sealant based on the latest 100% acrylic technology. It has excellent adhesion to asphalt roofing, metal, concrete, wood, and other various surfaces. It is used for embedding flashing fabrics around roof penetrations, skylights, and solar panel equipment.
Roof Goop is a “one-stop” repair material for patching defective roof areas. It can be applied thick enough in to encapsulate reinforcing fabric in two coats applied in succession. This allows the repair to be completed in a single step. Surfaces should be clean and dry. Apply 2 heavy coats ( 60-80 wet mils), or more for proper repairs. When encapsulating polyester mesh fabric over a repair area, extend the Roof Goop a minimum of 2 to 3 inches beyond the fabric edge prior to imbedding. Where larger areas are to be reinforced, overlap the fabric 2 inches at edge for extra strength. Repairs can be topcoated with other acrylic roof products and/or other colored roof coatings where necessary for aesthetics.
Available in both Black and White versions. The Black will dry faster in cooler, damper weather.
